UNLOCKING THE FUTURE OF NEUROINTERVENTION, INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY AND NEUROIMAGING
This platform is dedicated to providing expert interpretation and consultation in advanced neuroimaging and Interventional radiology. It offers reliable second opinions and structured reporting for complex disorders of the brain, spine, and neurovascular system, helping clinicians and patients make confident, evidence-based decisions. With a strong focus on precision imaging, clinical correlation, and interventional planning, the service bridges the gap between diagnostic imaging and endovascular treatment. Each case is reviewed meticulously, keeping current international guidelines and best practices in mind. Services include: Expert second opinions in CT, MRI, MRA, MRV, CTA, and DSA. Neurovascular imaging for stroke, aneurysms, AVMs, DAVFs, and venous disorders. Pre-procedural imaging review and interventional roadmap planning. Post-intervention imaging assessment and follow-up guidance. Clear, structured reports tailored for clinicians and patient understanding. The goal is to deliver accurate, timely, and clinically meaningful insights that support optimal patient care and improve neurological outcomes.

Meet Dr. Sarfraz Ahmad
A passionate neuroimaging expert and Interventional Radiologist with a background in MBBS from JNMC, AMU, MD specialisations in Radiodiagnosis from SGPGIMS, Lucknow and DM in Neuroimaging and Interventional Radiology from PGIMER, Chandigarh. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to DrSarfrazNIIR. His mission is to share valuable insights and provide the best consultation to patients in need of expert opinion related to Neuroimaging and Interventional Radiology.

Our Services
Interventional Radiology
We provide expert consultation for complex interventional radiology and neurointerventional cases, with a strong focus on evidence-based decision-making, procedural planning, and risk stratification. These services are designed to support referring clinicians, hospitals, and multidisciplinary teams in achieving safe, effective, and outcome-oriented interventions.
1. Neurointerventional Procedures
-
Acute ischemic stroke intervention
-
Intracranial aneurysms
(coiling, stent-assisted techniques, flow diversion—case selection and imaging strategy) -
Arteriovenous malformations and fistulas (AVMs/DAVFs)
-
Venous disorders (cerebral venous thrombosis, venous sinus stenosis—diagnostic and therapeutic planning)
-
Pre-operative tumor embolization (meningiomas, JNA, hypervascular skull base tumors)
-
Thyroid nodule ablation and Thyroid Artery Embolisation
2. Non-Neuro Interventional Radiology
-
Peripheral and visceral embolization
(trauma, GI bleeding, hemoptysis, tumor-related hemorrhage) -
Venous interventions
(DVT, catheter-directed thrombolysis, venous stenting, chronic venous disease) -
Image-guided tumor therapies
(embolization, ablation planning, and response assessment) -
Vascular access and device-related procedures
-
Biopsy and Drainage
-
Uterine Artery Embolisation
Neuroimaging and Diagnostic Service

We offer expert interpretation and second-opinion consultations for a wide spectrum of complex neuroimaging cases, with a strong emphasis on clinical relevance, anatomical precision, and management-oriented reporting.
My neuroimaging services include detailed analysis of:
-
Cerebrovascular disorders
(acute ischemic stroke, intracranial hemorrhage, AVMs, DAVFs, aneurysms, venous thrombosis) -
Neurovascular imaging
(CTA, MRA, DSA correlation, perfusion imaging, pre- and post-intervention assessment) -
Brain and spinal tumors
(characterization, grading pointers, treatment response, post-operative and post-radiation imaging) -
White matter and demyelinating diseases
(MS, NMOSD, MOGAD, leukodystrophies, metabolic and toxic encephalopathies) -
Neurodegenerative disorders
(Parkinsonian syndromes, atypical parkinsonism, dementia imaging, MR-based indices) -
Epilepsy imaging
(focal cortical dysplasia, hippocampal sclerosis, pre-surgical evaluation) -
Pediatric neuroimaging
(congenital malformations, vascular anomalies, metabolic disorders)
Each case is approached with:
-
Structured, high-yield reporting
-
Clear differentials with imaging pearls
-
Correlation with clinical history
-
Actionable insights for clinicians and intervention planning
My goal is to bridge the gap between imaging findings and patient management, ensuring precise diagnosis and confident decision-making.
